So Iptix is having a terrible time. He's still not over the whole thing with his childhood friend, and the ever-present cheer and happiness that seems to simply radiate from the festivities is not helping. Leilani finds him sulking in the conveniently timed rain, staring at the last of the parade floats as all of that day's waterfront activities slowly come to an end due to the foul weather. They think that maybe finding a nice, fun activity for Iptix to enjoy will improve his mood. So they go and build some sandcastles - or try to, anyway, as Iptix gets frustrated and storms out, because, surprise surprise, frowning at the water is his favourite Summer Solstice activity. The conveniently timed rain conveniently stops, but it's now very windy instead. Fear not though, for Leilani brings their "not letting my idiotic crush freeze" blanket everywhere. And hey, maybe all that Iptix needed this whole time was just some company. And he's definitely not flustered.

Every day, when the sun is highest in the sky, a wondrous parade makes several loops around Lake Melirial, featuring boats decorated with so many flowers that the original structure of the vessel is all but obscured. The sands along Lake Melirial are soft and fine, perfect for sculpting. During the party, many sandcastle competitions are held, with judges awarding more points for those that utilize water features from the lake's waves and demonstrate a high level of decoration.
