2-page comic assignment for my Comic Scene class; had a bunch of prompts to fulfill so you can bet I managed to make a sad story out of it all, hahahaha. Anyway, this comic was supposed to be about showing atmospheric depth/perspective, so as I still struggle with effectively portraying depth this was a good exercise to do. Still doesn't feel that successful to me though, and I still have trouble with contrast, too...Anyway, I'm taking 2 comic classes this semester, so you guys will probably be seeing a lot more comics from me! Hope you guys enjoy.
Pentel brush pen & ink and Winsor & Newton Payne's Gray Watercolor on 9"x12" Canson Cold Press 300gsm.
(I... will probably not be doing a monochromatic watercolor wash comic again, hahahaha that was not a good life choice)

Expect more gray toned/wash things though, comics has got me doing a lot of it hahahahah!

It does look a little small, but that only gives more of an impression that it's a very isolated place. I think your depth/space works very well here
