Hi, I love you artwork very much, and I am wondering if you use any tools to help you draw? Or just the Gel Pens

Good day Steven

My apologies for such a late response. Anyway, to answer your question, I do use rulers, a compass and a protractor while laying down the basic geometrical forms. Then once that is done, I do all the pen work freehand

Thanks

In my language Bayani is usually translated as 'hero' and Malaya is mean as 'free'. However, I also add that the root word for Bayani is "Bayan" or community / town / city or country, where as "I" means man. So bayani means man of the people. As for the word "Malaya" can also mean the Malayan people, to whom my people (Filipinos, Indonesians and Malaysians) come from

So this could mean "The Free People", "The Free Hero / Warrior" or even "The Free Malayan People"

Hello my friend
beautiful Mandala
very delicate and glowing.
I like it when you come back to "my" world of mandalas sometimes
can you tell me what does the writing meen?

Lakandiwa In reply to hadas64 [2013-08-15 14:15:59 +0000 UTC]

Thank you

The words I used are actual nonexistent, since they are combinations of of Tagalog words, to give a new meaning

Such as the phrase Tayo'y Dangalayan, which is a combination of Dangal (honor) and Laya (freedom) . . . hence it means that we are honored free souls

Bayani means "hero" and it also mean "man of/for the people" and Malaya means "free" or the Malay race of which the Filipinos, Indonesians and Malaysians come from. So the Mandala is about being men for the people, for the freedom of the Malayan people's souls

Hi. I draw mandalas too but mainly Spiritual Art (digital) www.diamondlightlmw.com is my website if you would like to have a look. Do you have a website?Β

Hi Leanne,

My apologies for such a late response. I did take a look at your site a few months back, but I have never gotten the time to come back to it.

I see no difference if one expresses their spirituality in the digital or traditional arts, as it is your expression. I am only saying this because you placed the word "but" to your introduction to your works. I just looked at your site again, and they are great. What program do you use for your mandalas?

Anyway, I have no website yet. I mainly use my FB and DA accounts to share my works, although I had opened accounts in others sites in the past. Maybe one of these days.

Hope to keep in touch,

Salamat at samuli,

Lakan

Hi, sorry it has taken me so long to reply. I have been flat out with school. There is no real difference from one Spiritual art to the next. They all have messages. I was only referring to the different "mediums" used. I have always felt those who hand paint to be better than my digital and compositing art, that's all.Β

I hope you get your own website one day, that would be so wonderful. I look forward to it Β

Love and Light
