The person who inspired this piece was a very brave young woman who was with us in a series of very life threatening experiences in the war zones in the southern part of our country. Although I was primarily the one protecting our team, including her, still her strength in the face of all that adversity did add to our resolve and help lead to our survival and completion of the project.

It has been 10 years since I have last seen her, but when we converse on Face Book, she knows she is a very close sister to my soul
