Turned on some music to start my day
I lost myself in a familiar song

Their faces fade as the years go by
Yet I still recall as I wander on
as clear as the sun in the summer sky

When I'm tired and thinking cold
I hide in my music, forget the day

To me, art and music go hand in hand

This is what I call an "Insomniac painting"
Done at 4 in the morning (insomnias the reason I gave watercolor a chance in the first place. It's how I get myself to sleep)

Paper was a !@#$% to work with though. This is some real sheet music I used, some old stuff from middle school orchestra, a 50's rock song I think. So it was flimsy and buckling like crazy, and made those awful lines and crinkles up and down it... grrr... oh well.......

Experimenting on using stuff that isn't, well, plain white paper. Book pages. Sheet music. Coffee staining stuff. Newspaper. Fun fun fun....
