God i had trouble uploading this.So here's my attempt at a TG Transformation! I used to simpler style because I didn't know if anyone would actually like it it;
I don't know how I feel about this fetish - it's quite weird but also interesting. Anyway, if anyone is into TG or is in the community, please send me a note explaining what is is and why people like it. I want to educate myself so I can improve in the future ;')

Oh nice! This is really good! I'm shocked you haven't done TG stuff before, cuz you're a natural at it! The sneakers-to-high-heels, socks-to-thigh-highs, and pants-to-micro-shorts are all transformations that I utterly adore, so great work there, but I also have to praise the unique direction you went with the shirt! Transforming from a hoodie into an off-the-shoulders crop top is really fun, and it's made even better by just how small it is! Like, I don't even know if calling it a crop top is even the correct term to describe something like that (maybe it's a micro-crop-top?), but whatever it is, it's fabulous! Oh, and before I forget, the short-hair-into-high-ponytail is a transformation I always enjoy, and your depiction of it here is really pretty, as are her adorable little freckles and that super sexy pose the third version of her makes (the one with the hand between the legs). A really fantastic piece overall! I hope you make more TG stuff, although don't feel pressured to, you make what makes you happy!
That's all my praise, but since you asked about the appeal of the TG fetish, I thought I'd throw my hat in the ring and explain why it appeals to me. I'll try to keep it PG-13, but I apologize beforehand for any crude language I may use. The absolute biggest draw for me personally is the domination aspect of it. Taking some man, preferably a macho, prideful, masculine type, and forcibly transforming them into a cute, effeminate, sexy girl, perfectly plays into my domination fetish. They used to be the big, strong, masculine man, but now they get to see what it's like to be small and weak and effeminate. They get to see what it's like to lose their physical power and become an easily manhandled sex object. The process of taking some man, some man who's self-image and pride is all tied up with their masculinity, and gradually destroying that masculine pride until they can't help but give in to their desire to be cute and pretty and girly, is a form of domination I can't get enough of. I enjoy sissification stuff for the same reason. In short, my appreciation for the TG fetish is primarily as an extension of my Domination fetish. Domination is all about controlling and breaking down a victim's resistances until they give in to their carnal desires, and that's pretty much what TG stuff is about, only instead of it being about the victim trying to fight off giving in to their own GENERAL carnal desires, it's them trying to fight off giving in to to their FEMININE desires. Whether those desires are sexual in nature or just a desire to be girly doesn't matter too much to me. It could be a case of some macho douche being turned into a cock-hungry bimbo, or it could just be a case of some strong, powerful man being turned into a beautiful, submissive princess; both appeal to me. As long as they are dominated to the point of giving in to being a girl, I enjoy it, and the more masculine and manly they were before, the more enjoyable their descent is.
Now that's my fetish reason for enjoying TG stuff, but I also have a non-sexual reasons for enjoying it as well. Specifically, I really, really adore all the super fun and creative designs that arise from artists experimenting with gender-bent characters! The whole Bowsette phenomenon was really fun for me because I got to see everyone trying their hand at the idea of using some item to transform ANYONE into a beautiful princess, which was awesome! So many super interesting designs arose out of that, which I just really enjoyed. And it doesn't have to stop at just "What if X character was a girl." It can evolve into all sorts of sub-genres, such as the Bowsette thing of turning the characters into pretty princesses, or it could consist of body-swapping a male and female character to see how they'd act and what they'd wear if stuck in a girl's body, or it could involve just turning them into any particular "type" of girl, such as a farm girl, secretary, cheer leader, school girl, bunny girl, maid, house wife, valley girl, or anything else! So, while I do have a pretty huge fetish for TG stuff, I also just really appreciate the sheer artistic potential that it presents, as it really does give artists room to fully express themselves creatively!
So, yeah. Those are my various reasons for enjoying TG stuff, from both a fetish and artistic standpoint. I apologize if it was kinda weird or creepy sounding, or just too much information in general, but no one has ever really asked me why I like this stuff before, so it kinda opened the floodgates a bit I'm afraid. I feel that as a society we need to normalise and acknowledge different fetishes in order to become more sex-positive and a way i can do that is by educating myself on the more obscure things that I don't understand to a appeal of at a first glance.
I've heard a similar response from the community; explanations usually fall into themes of curiosity of being a different sex, the humiliation of becoming a woman, some find just the thought of being a woman arousing, internalised misogyny from a young age makes transformation arousing and then there's trans people who use it as a way to cope with dysphoria or fantasise about being their desired gender. However, your domination view of it is something I haven't heard before, so thank you for expanding my knowledge on this!
At first I thought it was mainly a coping method for trans people so I was confused as to how it could be sexual but after talking with the tg community, it is a lot more clear to me.
For me, it's not sexual at all - it's just not my thing in that aspect. But i do enjoy the character design part of it and thinking of a mini narrative for each sequence that I do. Also it means that I get to draw lots of cute girls over and over again so that's always a positive.
I have to say, the tg community has been really welcoming and positive towards my art and that's really been a massive help and booster for me to improve my art so im really grateful for that too!!

And yeah, I totally get not going for TG stuff sexually, as I honestly spend just as much time enjoying it for fetish purposes as I do enjoying it for purely artistic purposes! Like you mentioned, the creative bit of writing a short narrative and getting to draw an interesting and unique character design over and over in progressive steps is really fun! I can't count the number of praise essays I wrote responding to various Bowsette-style princess transformation stuff, as I just saw so many amazingly creative and unique designs! I really enjoy character fusion art from an artistic point of view for a similar reason, as Bowsette is, aside from being a TG thing, also a cool concept of "What if we combined Peach with X Character?" So many unique designs arise out of that stuff as well. So, yeah, I enjoy most forms of transformation-style art just for how much creative freedom it provides artists.
Anywho, rambling now, but long story short, it's been an absolute pleasure meeting and talking with you Lali-yah! I really do appreciate your desire to understand others, as well as your sincerity in general! You really are a talented artist, and I can't wait to see more of your work in the future, whether it be TG or anything else!

Generally, with most other things revolving around my transformation fetish (but especially with TG stuff), I find it best when I'm able to put myself in the character's shoes and really feel like I am that character, whether that be clever writing or the character just happening to look generally like me. Overall though it'd be great to have another tf artist in my watch list.

I think people are into it because of a few things. Some people are transgendered themselves or have gender dysphoria, while others just have it as a fascination. I think many people are curious about the experience of becoming a different sex, both the transformation aspect and the end result, either as a temporary or a longer term thing.
Myself, I've been really interested in transformation in general since an early age, wanting to experience being /something/ different. Around puberty I was exposed to the idea of TG transformation for the first time and it was fascinating to me. I'm quite happy living and being my birth gender, but I'm also very curious about the other experiences which are inaccessible to me, so TG material is a chance to explore that. I don't think I'd want to be a radically different kind of person, just a similar person born into different biological circumstances.
That's my take on it, at any rate. I like what you did with the hair and clothing in this one.

Yes, my first impressions of it were as a coping mechanism for trans people to help with their dysphoria so when i found out it was mainly a sexual thing, i was quite confused ha.
I guess its just another way of expressing curiosity.

Yeah I couldn't say anything about the exact proportions, but there is definitely some portion of the TG fandom that is transgender or queer (using general terms) and some portion that is cisgender but curious or fascinated. That might explain your experience, with your expectations and what you found out upon investigating. Perhaps it is a bit of a spectrum, or maybe it's two (or more) broad groups.
