After a day of exploring other falls in the area, we made our way up the Big Branch canyon to see if the falls were worth shooting. At the first creek crossing, I became instantly discouraged due to the low flow. With a gentle reminder from Addam of how similar conditions last summer had yielded good results, I tried to remain hopeful that the falls farther up the creek would be worth it. Indeed, it was worth it--even as the skies opened up and it began to pour on us just as we reached this fall. We were able to shoot only for a few minutes before it just became impossible due to the heavy rain. One of the things I love most about what we do is how unpredictable the weather and conditions always seem to be.
