Description I drove to Swallow Falls State Park in Maryland early in the morning, hoping to catch the early morning lighting. I got lost on the way, so I wasn't early enough. This was shot just after 8:00 a.m., and the sun was already too bright. I will be visiting this fall again soon, with some better lighting, hopefully.

I bracketed some shots there...turned out terribly. Either that, or I just can't process them worth a damn. Which is highly probable.

Nah, doubt it was the processing. Some just dont turn out, unless you have like 5+ exposures but who plans for that?! The processing becomes brutal and every adjustment is very touchy with alot of exposures though.

I think I just still suck at it. I'll keep practicing.

I've never even tried 5+ exposures. I bet that's killer.

I usually do four +1,0, -1, -2, but then my sensor is inferior compared to yours.

I'd say that nice splash of light on the water really works... So not a wasted effort. Love the b/w. You and Mike... You're killing me with the fantastic monochrome shots - and the gorgeous scenery upon which you get to perfect your art.
