Truly beautiful work. Have you only used Zbrush or have you evolved from other proggys? I'm just starting off (today) and getting into 3d modeling and I just got Modo, not sure if it stacks up to zbrush or not, but I would like your opinion if you have one on the matter. Thanks

I knew the the basic 3ds Max use before moving on to ZBrush but nothing beyond that. I think it's good to have at least some 3d modeling knowledge but sculpting is quite different from traditional modeling. Though if you're planning to do lowpoly models at some point, then other programs come in handy.Β

I did more research and found out that a lot of really talented people use both Zbrush and Modo. So I got Zbrush for modeling which is great because I have experience modeling clay in RL. I'm just trying to sculpt characters as realistic as possible for my own personal interest in creating something beautiful, like a photo-realistic angel for instance. I know it's going to take me a while to get to that level, but work like yours is pretty inspirational!

Some use Modo, some use other programs. You can do amazing sculpts without them (especially since ZBrush has now simple lowpoly tools), but extra programs do help with the workflow in some aspects. Modo is good since it's relatively cheap compared to Max and essentially does the same thing.Β

Have you drawn the blueprints (Top, Sides, bottom) by yourself?
Amazing work.

I never draw blueprints, I always just sculpt what's in my head.Β

So that's how you work in Zbrush
As I said great imaginations.
I'm gonna install Brush again for sure.
You are inspiring people, you know?

Incredible!
Can I ask which software did you use for UV mapping?
I am beginning to add textures to my models. I am a bit confused. I heard blender is better as it goes for UV mapping than Maya or 3Ds max.
Can you guide me?
Thanks

I personally like to use 3d-coat. It's very simple and easy to use, though expensive if you plan to use it only for unwrapping. I don't have much experience with other programs so can't help much

Beautiful. I can really feel the power and elegance coming off it. Is it inspired by the battle suits of the game Warframe by any chance?

Thanks~ I'm not super familiar with Warframe but every time I happen to see pictures of it I definitely feel like the designers have a similar design style as I do Would have loved to design stuff for that game.Β

Good mech design, there is a sense of power and mechanical, metal muscle to it. An almost sense of thrusting out its chest in pride and daring or perhaps more appropriately, warning, any to not to challenge its authority.Β

Look up some hardsurface tutorials from youtube. It's different from organic sculpting but not necessary harder to learn.
