I mean I know that I'm overemotional and cry pretty much about everything (and yes, it sucks a lot), but I've never cried so much over a video game. Honestly, I'm sad but also really glad that I didn't play it by myself. I would go crazy making decisions like that.

I thought that pictures are like frozen moments which are kept in a certain media, in Max' case those moments are kept in polaroid pictures. In my opinion that quote was fitting the best to that picture, since her fate and the fate of the whole town was connected to it. When the player sacrifices Chloe to save the people of Arcadia Bay, Max destroys the picture and cuts the connection of Chloe's life. Nevertheless that butterfly will always remind Max of Chloe and she'll continue living in her heart.
