Happy Mothersday to all mothers out there! Al though here in Sweden I still need to wait until May 31 before I can really congrat my own mother. Even if in the rest of the world, such as Denmark and Turkey to name a few, it is actually Today. And well, I miiiight have gotten the dates mixed up and did indeed think it was today as well here in Sweden. But hey! All days are mamas days!Anyhow, a while ago, I doodled a rose with a pencil while looking at a napkin I had with a very nice motive. I later gave it to her since she really like it. But recently she mentioned it would be nice to get a colored rose to place by her bed. I didn't promise her it would happen though, roses are hard and my motivation hasn't been the greatest lately. But, today I felt inspired and motivated, and I really like the outcome. I'm so glad I didn't messup the background, but a bit disappointed at myself that the rose didn't turn out to look as smooth and water-colory as I originally had planed.
BUT! I am very pleased with the outcome. And I know my mama is gonna love it!
(Hush! Don't tell here! She is asleep so she doesn't know anything! Hush hush!)

The whole thing is made with watercolors, the stars are made with white acrylics.
The size is A5 on watercolor paper.
Hope you guys like it and don't forget your mums! If you don't have motivation to draw something, go outside and pick some flowers! Or clean the house! Or do something you know will make your mama smile.

I think it's beautiful but I understand about colors getting altered. I can't seem to photograph things and get the color correct. Purple looks like blue and anything red or orange gets blindingly bright.

But I've picked up a few tricks one can use in Photoshop to fix the colors. Even scanning is really hard the moment any colors are involved

I'm still working at the restaurant, but I've started to look around for something ells. I really like the service business but it would be fun to try something new for a change. We'll just have to see what the future brigs ^^

I'm looking at anything in the service direction. Well, expect for personal assistant like we talked about a while ago. I do not have the courage or mental strength for that. I am built to the bone with "customers are always right" so working with elderly who you basically treat like a child, would not suit me. I would just give in and all sorts of things. I live caring for the elderly to the more capable people.
I would love to work at a store, or a good restaurant where the food is good and the service is aimed at customers and not money. Only good thing about Sara, is that my boss would basically do anything to make his customers happy. If he did so with his workers, I would have found my dream job XD LOL

Yeah, I remember. While I think you´re plenty courageous and mentally strong, I can see your point. I think that´s something that can be difficult in that line of work. I think a big part of it, that makes it particularly difficult, is when it gets harder for them to communicate all their needs and wants, which makes it harder to get them what they need.
Maybe you could see if Jensen´s have an opening somewhere? You could even look into both Denmark and Malmö then, since you speak Danish.
They´re probably a lot of other places in Malmö as well, if you feel like it´s alright to commute. Sorry if I sound like someone from Arbetsförmedlingen ^^

Thank you for you kind words my friend. I don't really consider myself "courageous" though. I did grow up helping mom with basically the same things I do today. I've grown to really love it.
But yes, especially the communication part would be very hard on me. I sometimes have trouble hearing my customers if there's a lot of buzzing, and I don't like not being able to understand and repeat and ask and repeat.
And yes, I will look into Jensen's. I really love using my danish at Sara's, and I get some danish customers every now and then. They always seem to be so much more pleasant and enjoyable to serve too! But I rarely have hard or annoy customers anymore though. Maybe it's my attitude, or that kind of people simply haven't been around recently.
Also, you don't sound like Arbetsförmedlingen. If you would nagg about working as an intern at Mcdonalds, then maybe.
It's better now after I said I wanted to quit, but I still have yet to talk with my boss and what not.

Thanks hon! It looks even better in the frame I got for it too! The scanner didn't as much ate the colors as it did exaggerate them. It looks like a real eye-bleeder on the screen atm. I'm gonna try and get a good picture tomorrow.
