Description Another "Wife's Choice" piece.  She really likes the character.  Octavia, the Queen of Hearts, is a master fencer with a love of drinking and sword fights.  I've actually a short novel surrounding my queen characters, and I'm working on getting it edited and published.

Man, that theme goes hard!  I agree, she'd probably take care of business with something like that playing in the background.

Sweet design man, love the colors and the pose. Sounds like a cool character, too.

Thanks! I'm trying to flesh her and my other queens out a little more so I can try my hand at writing.  I do have a storyline in mind for them.

Hey there I just wanted to say that you do a really good job with the finished look of your art. Though that being said, some anatomy studies and face studies would do you allot of good!

Thanks a lot for taking the time give me some real feedback!  If you don't mind me asking, can you point some specific things I need to look at?  The reason I'm asking is that I can tell that I'm not quite there, especially when it comes to foreshortened limbs or unusual points of view.  It's like I know something's off, but I'm not sure exactly sure where the errors are sometimes.

Also I can tell you are going for a stylized look for your characters faces, but that being said drawing real facial anatomy as practice can assist greatly with creating good looking stylized art !

There are a few good channels on youtube you can look up for the foreshortening and facial anatomy. Check out Scyra and Proko channel. Also there are facebook communities where you can post your art then have other people critique it, it helps to say where you need the help because people can then direct you to more videos. Check out "level up" fb group for what I just mentioned.

I hope this helps!
