Description I saw this guy swoop down into a low tree across the street.
EDIT: I believe that this is a Cooper's Hawk by its markings.

It's a Red Shoulder Hawk. It usually lands on high branches of trees, so I was lucky to get a shot of it.

Thanks, very nice capture!
That kind of characteristic reminds me of the Sparrowhawk, you see them on the wing a lot more than when they are perching.
