Watercolor, 9"x12". This was a commission for a woman who wanted a painting for her son. His totem was a bear. I decided to make it look a little more ethereal, with the night sky, like the bear is a spirit who has moved beyond our realm, but is acting as this boy's guide.Related content

I really like the style of drawing like this. This reminds me of russian culture, a big bear protecting a small weak boy.
