All of humanity's wishes are delivered to the Star Road. But sometimes the answer is no.

This was drawn before a Smash character announcement, on the hopes that we could call it. We were crossing our fingers for Geno being added to the roster and it.... didn't go that way. Once again he was relegated to being a Mii Costume. The character being dropped instead wound up being Steve. So yeah... Sometimes wishes don't come true. At least Daisy got a great toy out of it.

Honestly, like at least a few other people, I've developed a hate for Smash costumes for that reason. It never really quite feels like you're playing as the character; you can't adjust stats or anything, and so they rapidly wind up feeling very samey. And so, SO many people that are downgraded to Mii costumes instead of the main roster are ones I would've gone crazy for had they been on the roster. Cuphead, Sans, Geno, Protoman, the Dragonborn, Zero, Travis Touchdown... After enough slaps in the face it starts to feel less like a consolation prize and more like an insult. I get it's a petty reaction but how it felt after a while.

Eh, is what it is. We've got the full Ultimate roster now and there's lots of names that, even if I wasn't a huge fan of them, I can still appreciate them getting in. Sora, Joker, Terry, Kazuya, all of them had fans who were waiting for along time and deserved those bones thrown their way. Still a great game. ^^

Martin's Comments: Yeah, this was made in the hopes of Geno getting into Smash Bros. after the luck we had with Min Min and... Same luck didn't strike twice in this case. Eh.

Still a pretty good haul of a roster for me regardless honestly. Ridley, Daisy, Joker, Dark Samus, Terry, Byleth, Min Min, Pyra & Mythra, all names I was pretty thrilled to get. ... Reminder we've still got those tournament scripts sitting at a discount incidentally. Need to post the other half of those, I've been wanting to do a bonus script for Sora like with Pyra and Mythra but just keep not getting around to it.

Either way, yeah, do hope that everybody enjoys this one. Kind of fall in a weird place on doing padded Mario content, it's something I don't find myself with THAT much interest in doing but there is certainly some. We do have at least one picture sitting in progress we really need to get back to actually... Two depending on if you count WarioWare.
