Heheh... Yeah, this was designed to sort of give some backstory; Wendy came from a story Martin originally wrote a while back, and we wanted to help establish that. The third panel is just an illustration from that story. ^^

We've actually been considering re-writing it, maybe giving it the illustrated story treatment or soemthing, but we'll have to see.

Martin's Comments: Yeah, I've been wondering for awhile now about doing a rewrite of the original Oppur story, partially to tie it closer to Daylight, partially to smooth out some iffy original characterization (mostly on Wendy, think she comes on too strong), partially just because it's old and could use some shaping up.

This kind of is just a quickie recap of sorts of that to give some context about why Wendy is so easygoing on things, as well as to lay the groundwork for her friends being things in this story as well; Katlyn will be showing up in a few pages (actually the one we submitted to Patreon tonight funny enough) but I'm not sure if Suzanne and Mel will be showing up in this storyline beyond this, though they will certainly be appearing in Daylight at some point.

Also this page was kind of a last minute rewrite - originally there was a bit with William being changed in the first panel but like Adam mentioned the improv with June a couple pages ago led to this page and the previous one being tweaked to accommodate it.
