Heheh.... Not a lot to say on this page, just get used to meeting Thomas. We wanted to make him look nice from the word go; he's sweet and loving and (way too) helpful. This was also a chance to make June look nicer and more vulnerable, since she's been looking a bit whiney and too antagonistic thus far.

Thomas looks so, SO weird without the tiger stuff. So eager to get to that. Thankfully you don't have to wait long, folks. ^^

For the record, every single time Thomas and Dinah talk to each other, I wind up re-writing and expanding on their dialog. It's a lot of fun giving them biting barbs to each other. .... Hell, I'm the one who WROTE this particular page, and I STILL wound up re-writing the dialog I myself put into those two just because they could always be more fun. ^^

Martin's Comments: Sorry this is running a few hours late, we wanted to get the next page up on Patreon first and it's a little heavier than usual. Speaking of, we have shading!

Yeah, if it looks a little rough here this is where we were first kind of dipping our toes into starting to go much heavier with shading and using the more time-intensive style. Ultimately deemed it not feasible for our ongoing comics (though another page or two of Daylight used it before simplifying slightly) but it's been used for commissions here and there.

Do think this is a nice, sweet little moment. We're really wanting to put over the idea that June and Thomas are basically like siblings in their own right, imagine Thomas has probably known her his whoel life. And of course he gets on better with her than he does his actual big sister.
