Description
This is me,I stand on the back of the railing on my deck,
smirk as I swing my leg out around the pillar,
and let myself fall, fearless.
This is me,
Hanging out of a tree
on the thinnest branches
to see if I can touch the ground,
fearless.
This is me,
Pushing my body in an all out sprint
Throwing my weight into a slide on
rainslicked asphalt and pavement
roostertails of spray,
fearless.
This is me,
Laying on my roof
with a cigarette in hand
as the clouds rumble
and lightning flashes in the sky
fearless.
This is me,
standing in a crowd and not bolting,
this is me looking in a mirror
this is me admitting my faults to you
this is me laughing as I fall apart
fearless.
I am never afraid, always anxious
I am never frightened, just uncomfortable
I am, Fearless.
So why am I so terrified?
