Description The name of this cutie is Ronja and the title means "Full of life" in English.
Ronja lives in the animal shelter I often visit to help and to give the dogs a little adventure outside the kennels. This two-year-old girl is looking for a new family now, after she came from Romania to Germany. I don't know her breed, but her character is awesome.

Update 09.05.2012
Ronja have found a new home. I don't know where but I hope she's happy now ♥

Update 24.05.2012
Sadly, Ronja came back to the animal shelter. I will visit her again in the next few days ...

Update 06.06.2012
Aaaand again: Ronja have found a new home. This time - hopefully - for ever :3

A woman adopted her but she worked 11 hours a day and had no time for her. She didn't think about the demands of a dog before. So I think it is better for Ronja to be back and come into another home where her family has time for her

I don't know. She's from Romania and no one knows her background of life. But we think she is a shepherd breed, maybe eastern shepherd mixed with Australian or English shepherd.

Gorgeous dog, we have so many strays, as much as I love dogs I wish their numbers would decrease. They sometimes get violent with my dog ;__;
I'm glad this fella got a new chance <3

I can imagine. This vicious circle is so damn sad ._.
And I can understand the people in Romania or other countries were stray dogs are a plague comparable with rats. But it wont be better with killing them but changing the people's mind who think their own dogs should run out on the streets without being castrated. It's hart to do something as single persons we are. But I think we can do our best. I work with the dogs here, you have a look on your own dog, that he/she wont be injured by the strays. And maybe talk with the people
Thank you for your nice comment

Euthanasia isn't a bad choice, a shot isn't painful and it's a death with no pain. Many dogs are very sick and they spread this disease. Some get into car crashes and if they survive they remain crippled and in pain for life. Not to mention the horrible people who kick or poison them. It's a sad situation, that's why I want a humane euthanasia. In many countries they're kept for 30 days at the shelter and if the dog is not adopted it's euthanized. I think we should do the same, we have way too many strays.

I would agree, yes. As sad as it is ._.
In Germany, no animal shelter would euthanize the dogs or cats expect they're deathly ill. But we haven't as many strays as countries like Spain, Italy, Romania or Bulgaria and stricter animal wellfare acts. So ... I think it is not a lot what Germany can do with bringing some of the Romanian dogs hither, but a small help. A little chance for some chosen lucky dogs :3

Nice of you guys to adopt them. In Bucharest we built Dog Town where about 2000 strays will be neutered and put up for adoption. Sad thing is we have way more strays than that D:
