Going back to my roots.

I have long idolized pinup artists such as Boris Vallejo, Olivia De Berardinis, Harry Ekman, and many others that would take too long to list. At the beginning of my artistic journey, my goal was to create a version of pinup art with my own unique flare.

Three things changed my trajectory: the challenge by someone I once considered a friend who said I couldn't "really draw" and was therefore "not a real artist"; the natural evolution of the artistic endeavor; and a long-term illness with which I still contend.

Until "Bubbles Return," it had been years since I had done anything similar to my original aspirations. Although this was created between 2019 and 2020 (? - I forgot to date her), I hope she is one of many more.

I want to take a moment to thank all those who took the time to view my work, posts, and general mental melee. You are all appreciated, regardless of your motivation for being here. 😘🥰

The piece was created by drawing and colorizing the model and yoga ball on separate sheets of bristol board and gluing them to pre-painted watercolor paper.
