I have painted embroideresses a lot through the years. I see them as an essence of female wisdom holding the memories and the visions of the future in their hands, watching the story unfold stitch by stitch.
This one is inspired by Tolkien's Miriel.
This painting is a part of my Magic Forest series.

This is a really beautiful painting. The lady looks so elegant with her long flowing hair and blue dress, and I like the attention to detail with all the creasing on the different cloth materials throughout the piece. The colorful flowers and leaves are very pretty too, and I like the way you portrayed the embroidery as well. Very nicely done!
