Description Yes, that's right!!! DIGITAL!

For I never told you guys, I got a decent drawing tablet for my birthday : This picture shall be the first one in my series of digital pictures here on DA. I choose to draw Shadowdagger's Novia, because Shadow was one of the first digital artists I met here on dA, and I was deeply inspired by his amazing works... So Shadow, this is for you...

I made this picture in just three hours, with GIMP. And I know its FAR from perfect or anything near it. I just don't know why I drew this in a so incredible small resolution
Well, next time I can do it better...

Oh my god!! this is so nice!
I absolutely LOVE the way you drew this character, especially her expression!
The background is cool but the colours are so attacking XD they jump out a lot!
But this is lovely, really!

And yes, the background is a bit too agressive indeed, I agree,~ I drew it while I already was supposed to be in bed ;w;

AND YES I ASKED MYSELF THE SAME QUESTION. I found out about this song only some days ago o3o. Do you know Two Steps From Hell or Thomas Bergersen? (I never looked up the details, but the first is a sort of band/organisation, and Thomas is someone working with this band/organisation)

And you HAVE TO LOOK UP SOME OF THEIR SONGS ON YOUTUBE. "TWO STEPS FROM HELL". [link] is very cool too Just look through their songs... They're amazing <3

Well, I like such "epic" music as this alot. I am a great fan from SOUNDTRACKS from (awesome) films, like LoTR, Tron Legacy, Avatar, Pirates of the Carribean, Stargate... ETC... I also like rock/techno/electro~whatever bands like Pendulum or Linkin Park. And some other musical artists I love: Ronald Jenkees ([link] ), the PianoGuys ([link] ) Lindsay Sterling ([link] ).... Yus. That'd be the greatest part of them.. o3o

And I created this using GIMP. Ah, I just noticed I didn't write that in the description, gonna update it now.

No problem Did you try other programs like Paint Tool SAI or Photoshop too? I don't know which one to choose, but I think I'll try GIMP tomorrow... Would you recommend GIMP?

Ohh I think you're asking the wrong person about this kind of stuff. I'm still rather new to digital art myself. But I can tell you this... Many people say that GIMP is very close to Photoshop, though Photoshop is a little bit better everywhere, maybe a little bit better organized (That's what I've heard, though there are many different opinions)... GIMP is good enough for every "beginner", though when you want to get more advanced, Photoshop or Pain Tool SAI is surely better. Partly because it supports many functions from the Drawing tablet much better than GIMP..

(One thing that is annoying me a lot in GIMP is that you cannot rotate your canvas, but there are ways around that)

Aaannd I'm pretty sure I will buy Photoshop or Paint Tool SAI in near future, I first wanna get better at various stuff in digital art in general.

And to your last question, GIMP is a very good graphic program, that offers many opportunities, regarding that it is completely free.
