Description "And (commanding you): "Seek the FORGIVENESS of your Lord, and turn to Him in repentance, that He may grant you good enjoyment, for a term appointed, and bestow His abounding Grace to every owner of grace (i.e. the one who helps and serves needy and deserving, physically and with his wealth, and even with good words). But if you turn away, then I fear for you the torment of a Great Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)."
(Hud:3)

Asking forgiveness is a Must thing to do for all Muslims. Whether the sins big or small, all of us are not escape in doing them.
It is said that Prophet Muhammad SAW doing istighfar about 70 times a day and also 100 times a day in another sources.

Humans are not the most complete creature on this world. Some of us tall like coconut tree, some are fat. Some of us poor, wandering into garbage zone to search food. Some are rich. have those and that but selfish.

It is similar when we meet sins, we will someday fell into them. We just hope we would not accidentally do it at the time where Angel of Death is looking for us.

Our ancestors, Adam and Hawa (or Adam and Eve) had asked forgiveness from Allah SWT for the first sin they've made, eating fruits of forbidden tree. Shaitan had deceived them and it swore to bring us into terrifying hell of Allah SWT. Only those who are chosen will be save by Him.

What is your reason for not asking forgiveness in front of Him?
