That's pretty great for a drawing done from memory. c:
I like the line style, but I do agree with some more shading.

You're welcome c: Perhaps next time it would be safer to digitally draw it, since then there's no fear of accidentally doing something and being unable to revert it.

PFSH! No way. I hate digital drawing! I love direct ink on paper because it makes me thing about everything I do, and it makes me live with the consequences of my actions. It's also quite freeing, because you can't erase mistakes, it's easier to let go of the old " I NEED TO MAKE IT PERFECT" thing.
I feel it's liberating to work like this, I just know when to stop and when to go on. In this case, going on would have turned it into a bad scrabble....

Ahaha, I know that feel. XD Ofttimes I feel like I'm overusing things like the clone and flip tool in Photoshop. Although I wouldn't be able to progress as well if I didn't have the trusty Ctrl+z; one small mistake and I feel like it's not really worth it to continue. Why base a drawing on something that's already been ruined?
But I do see what you mean by liberating. Too often artists believe that it's only worth something if it's perfect.

What do you mean by phony? XD You don't necessarily need Photoshop; I've seen some incredible things done in MS Paint alone.
Ah, another thing I can't stand came to mind... people who think getting a tablet or expensive software automatically will make them better at art. >.> If they can't draw on paper, what makes them think they'll do better digitally? It baffles me. XD

Oh, I see. XD Digital art does feel sort of like a shortcut, I suppose.
Photoshop never likes to cooperate. It's been a rough-and-tumble trip through mistake after rookie mistake on my part, including the picture resolution turning blurry after hours of work, the whole thing shutting down, getting glitchy/slow or not allowing me to upload pictures to dA. My own tablet sits stationary (I usually use it for non-artistic reasons, anyways.)

Thank you! I prefer drawing without too much of a reference, it makes the end effect more satisfying to me! It also makes it so you look at different things, like the railings from the brute, how many does he have and where are they located?
Thanks for the awesome comment!

Nice work, but I think it needs more colour. Or shadding at least
