And after some fabulous commissions ,back to my crap! *dies*

So, finally got a chance to draw the captain of Division 5!

Have had this design in my mind for a long time, however, took ages to draw lol. But well, a sketch on him. And first time ever I drew a dinousaur like this. xD

Bachiatari Raptor (a taken name, Bachiatari meaning Cursed) is probably the oddest looking (and most ferocious) shinigami in the Gotei. However, Raptor haven’t always looked like this, and as his name says, is he cursed.

About 600 years ago, when he just newly appointed captain in the Division, did he recklessly disobey orders, as he engaged the Cero Espada under a completely different mission; it wasn’t even a fight as Lanchios just played around with the young captain. Raptor back then, were narcissism personified, his appearance were spoken off over the entire Gotei, the most beautiful of beings and he treated himself as godlike compared to others. And of course, did he have amazing talents, just fueling his narcissism.

That was why he didn’t die in the meeting with Lanchios; the Cero Espada could easy kill the shinigami, but what was more fun to destroy them, for the things they loved? And so, Lanchios vowed a curse upon the shinigami. It would switch his beautiful appearance against the hideous monster of his zanpakuto spirit.

As Raptor returned, was he crushed, devastated over his hideous appearance. And furious. Every photo and picture that existed with him did he destroy, mirrors was forbidden in the barracks and around him and the pond nearby was drained on the water so it couldn’t reflect his hideous face. He even changed his name, to not stain it with the face he had today and under the first nights did he scar his face and body, as he tried to rip off the cursed and ugly skin of his face.

600 years have passed, and even if Raptor still feel vanity over his appearance, have he come to term with himself. To his fear and joy, have he forgotten how he once looked, even his old name is just a hazy memory, it was something on N… probably. He isn’t sure. However, it have changed him for the good, made him far more humble as well actually made him a good captain, though he still can have his outbreaks of depression and angry attacks.

His zanpakutou is named Kyouryuu, which literally translates to ‘Dinosaur’, and well, understandable if his zanpakuto spirit was a velociraptor.

Well, a little bit about Raptor for now. xD
