I really love Floyd Gottfredson's comics and 'Mickey Mouse joins the Foreign Legion' is one of my favorites.It's such an exceting and dramatic comic, it's almost a thriller!
First, Mickey is kidnapped by two masked men (as a test), then he gets the job as a secret agent (!) and has to find back stolen blueprints.
In order to follow Trigger Hawkes, the man who has stolen them, Mickey joins the foreign legion in Afrika, only to find out Peg-Leg Pete is sergeant. (And of course, Pete is Trigger's henchman). Pete wants to get rid of Mickey and tells him, he will never be satisfied with Mickey's works and if he is not satisfied, he will give Mickey what for...
Mickey will get a really hard time in the legion. It seemed like this adventure would be Mickey's death! (Don't worry, he'll be okay )
