However, as we walked out of the last trees hiding the lake from view, we faced an unexpected view: the Dry Lake had actually gone dry.
This sounds like a pun of some kind, or well naturally there is a reason why the lake was named "The Dry Lake". As a matter of fact, it may go dry - though most of the time it doesn't go dry completely, like we found it. What is more alarming though, normally it should go dry or near dry in autumn, when the rainfall in my country is normally the lowest, even in mountains. However, this was still in the heat of summer - by far too early for such a thing to happen.

I must admit after the long hike through the mountains in this rather hot day, wishing to see this lake, it was rather disappointing to find it like this.
But then, we decided we'll consider this an Achievement Unlocked event. Indeed, I had never seen this lake in its dry.
