Description Since I know of The Fibonacci Spiral for a long time, I've had that idea in my mind for a while now - to try doing a drawing where I build the composition strongly based on it. Especially so after I spotted it in practice in an artwork by one of the Bulgarian artists whose work I enjoy. He didn't do it on purpose, since it's a real place, a real scenery, you could say Nature did it

Anyway, I didn't get to it for many years, until recently I got a spontaneous idea about a drawing (still unfinished and unpublished) and because I couldn't think of how to compose it, I thought, why not experiment with The Fibonacci Spiral, the drawing was a bit of an experiment anyway. And I did, and my friend FelisGlacialis then remarked the composition and angle is really peculiar and remarkable, and I explained how that happened and.... before I knew it, we were discussing that approach to composition and ideas were gushing into my mind....

Two hours later I had a series of doodles and a bit of self-made theory to go with them. The basis of all was the premise that not only the Spiral is a helpful guide for composition, but it also can give me a feeling of flow and perspective in the picture, because its shape is such that I could easily envision the curve that spirals away as a guide for perspective and distance - something I've always struggled with in landscape drawing. Using that as a principle and just keeping to the curves of it, doodling those compositions was surprisingly easy. In fact.... I don't think I've ever been able to compose a landscape so easily and so well without any reference whatsoever. I'm still astounded at this. Yeah, yeah, I know this is nothing new - but it's new to me, it's not something I've studied, I'm mostly self-taught where composition is regarded, and so I'm excited and excited to share my findings. Because all the contemplations I've described above are my own.

So I hope you enjoy it, and find it useful and idea-inspiring.

Also, the character is very random, no one in particular, no species in particular even, though clearly feline. I guess I now default to felines too XD
