Description So I decided to shove some more ecology up your butt. Because why not. I'm a graduated ecologist, in case you didn't know. Also an amateur misanthrope. Nope, I cannot compete with the big boys.
So I've been trying to incorporate some environmentally-friendly or at least environmentally responsible habits in my everyday for quite so many years now. Little things like recycling, saving water and electricity, reusing stuff until it totally breaks and is really good for nothing anymore.... that kind of stuff. I keep using my brother's old computers since many years until they are really no good anymore - and then I give them to my father to use until they just explode XD Fuck the corporations that want you to keep buying stuff all the time. Fucking bastards are killing the planet for money, well I won't be a part of that if I can help it.

But anyway. At some point a friend of mine, who is in fact much more ecological than me, mentioned that really the most ecological thing you can ever do is to never have any children. And to my greatest joy I realized he's totally right. Why? Because there's far too many humans on this planet as it is and namely those humans cause all the environmental trouble with their numerous harmful activities. Whatever you're thinking, even just their sheer number IS a serious problem. Each and every one of them uses resources - those resources a small percent, like me, are trying to save more or less, but even those who turn it into their absolutely top-priority mission to be environmentally friendly (which I admit I have not) cannot escape the fact they still have needs and therefore consume resources. But think of it this way: you can put all your efforts into saving water and reusing stuff, but with all you can do you can never compensate all the water, electricity and all manner of other resources that your kids will use throughout their lifes because that's A LOT. However, if those kids never exist - then you've already saved more than you will ever in your life with any other methods.
Nah, this is pretty much me lying to you. My true reasons for taking that decision are personal and purely egoistic. However, the benefit from it for the environment - more like, the prevented harm - is fact, nevertheless. So it makes me a bit proud, too.

And of course, I'll also try to advertise that as a course of life for others as well, thus trying to aid the planet a little more. This is your very valid reason to never have children and be content with it - be ecological. Of course, many of you will now go off "but I want baaaabiiiiiiiieeees!" Oh for Hell's sake, don't be such a crybaby. Grow up. Have a life. Find a purpose for your existence other than polluting Earth with more resource-consuming humans. Procriate yourselves memetically, not genetically. That is to say, spread ideas instead of even more humans (it helps to have ideas to spread, for a start). But seriously, adopt. Or if you really find yourself so unable to suppress your primitive need to reproduce, have just one kid with your partner. That's still a step forward towards reducing the human burden upon the Earth. I'm not saying that (only) as a misanthrope - I say it as an environmentalist. Otherwise, believe me, your many children WILL suffer the consequences.

Anyway, I think I already earned myself enough curses for today. Wild antihuman propaganda can do that.

Also, all joking aside, it is worth noting one very serious thing here. Humans indulge themselves in "controlling" the population of other species, sometimes even daring to hide behind "environmental" reasons for that crime. However, they conveniently ignore the fact that when talking about impact over the environment, one species exceeds a million times each and every one of the rest - and that is the human itself. It is utterly disgusting, not to mention arrogant, immoral AND more often than not harmful to the environment, to "control" the population of other species while completely failing to control your own. I must also point out that talking about population control, I am referring to controlling your propagation - but make no mistake, the population control that you practice over other species is only done through murdering them. Not quite fair, is it?

Think green.
Feel free to use the stamp, just it if you do.

I totally agree with you here, I love nature too and I feel terribly disgusted by our monstrous species. Beside having many children (thing that also affect their lives because they can't get enough affection usually), what bothers me more about this topic is how rich people stop technological progress just because it would affect their power, and that progress is very important in developing eco-friendly industry. Maybe you've heard about how the water engine already exists, but they don't make it because it would destroy oil industry :/ (hey, why don't you make a stamp about this, just an idea )

lapis-lazuri In reply to AlienOffspring [2017-09-26 13:26:53 +0000 UTC]

I very much agree. And yes, that about technological progress.... one sore topic would be fuels and power generation but another would be medicine. How many people over the world are suffering with horrible diseases that medicine can currently only "sustain" just because if they were fully cured pharmaceutical companies wouldn't be draining bloody huge money from them for the rest of their lifes? But oh Hell, I totally lost my misanthropic sounding here.... :/
Hmm. Maybe because I don't know enough on the topic, to be honest. I know some things, but I don't feel quite familiar enough with the problem to discuss it in depth. But if you have an idea for a stamp, just tell me and I'll make it. These things are put together very easily and fast.

That's actually good both for Nature and for humanity - and that's a rare convergence of interests.

I will never have them and have no interest even from the beginning of life. I never wanted them and never will.
Also I like the last paragraph and 100% agree.

Not to mention that if people really want to raise a child there's more than enough orphans that need a home. Of course I'm content with raising a cat instead. XD

Yeah, that's why I added, "Adopt!" But agree, cats are so much better than kids and they come WITHOUT all the nasty stuff, too. *cuddles all five cats in my backyard*

You know when you think about, that's the reason behind almost everything humans do. Killing off a recovering population of a important species? They were threatening our livestock! Sure, on what, the land you stole? To continue doing what, producing more people to continue to do the same thing until there's nothing left. Then you wanna cry out 'save the planet'. You(Lapis, not the 'you' as in referring to humans), have excellent point that humans are the only species to populate in the billions and have the cowardice to say that other species need their numbers reduced. For the sake of their own selfish species to keep growing. That is already exhausting resources for all life here as it is. Pathetic. My hate for the human race is slowly coming about.

Oh Hell what you say makes me wanna cuddle you a lot You know, 'cause it feels good when someone else sees the grossity of it all, just the way I do. Most of the time it's like screaming into a full room where everybody is completely deaf. But thankfully I have you, my friends *hugs more*
By the way, you are also so very right, that is indeed how things are. And I get suddenly reminded of The Matrix (dat film....) and the contemplation of Agent Smith that humans act like a virus on this planet. That's exactly what they do, I so agree with him there.... humanity indeed has become a disease. Seeing all the suffering they cause.... it's nigh unbearable to know sometimes.

HelixHound In reply to lapis-lazuri [2017-09-26 10:00:12 +0000 UTC]

Thanks -huggles- I believe this is the right choice, to find balance between knowing to help humanity and to also know when it's humanity that needs to pay for its crime. I'm sure that will come after we get rid of the enemy. We already covered the topic of population of course, I believe the ones who refuse to give up enemy tactics or religions after we try to teach them better, would be the ones who have to go. If you left them here we'd be in the same spot we are now. Can't afford to go through this a second time, so such measures would have to be taken, no matter how harsh they may seem.

I agree. And yes, certainly, whoever chooses to stick to their old harmful ways, they will receive no mercy and no tolerance. Zero tolerance must be issued forth behind the enemy's lines. So it shall be written, so it shall be done. (Love that song dammit.) As for balance, I agree too. Unfortunately, I am not really much known for finding balance - more like for chaotically snapping between extremes XD But in Lucifer I trust. Balance is very much His thing. He will show us the way and teach us, in time.

Would you like to continue our note discussions? I am feeling better now.... and I begin to miss them. Besides, we left them unfinished. I'm not sure but I think there were 2 or 3 different threads.

HelixHound In reply to lapis-lazuri [2017-09-26 13:22:23 +0000 UTC]

There's no room for those ways in Satan's New World. Either they learn or they will perish. Their way is too harmful to the lives and souls of others to be even considered to be tolerated.

I've always tried to find a middle ground, but sometimes extremes are important.

Agreed, He will. We just have to work with Him to achieve this.

I'll reply. ^^ We have a lot going actually, glad you're feeling better <3

Most definitely. I used to hope they will realize that themselves one day and clear their own race of the filth but.... as you know, my faith in humanity (which has never been too great) keeps diminishing....

You know, I actually agree. Sometimes exactly extremes are crucial....

ah it's ok. I always had a deep disdain for children even when I was small. When I grew up it got worse and then after 'the wart' was born... just proved everything I already knew. So then it just made it that much more personal.

Same here. I never liked them as a kid, but now I dislike them even more. People sweetmelting over babies nearly makes me wanna throw up. Ugh, babies. Hardly any organism on the planet is more disgusting, and I DO regard helminths and taeniae with this statement, too.
