Description The å in the mountain's name (resp. aa in transliteration) is not a. It is pronounced as the vowel in the English words raw, draw, claw, etc.
Similarly ø (resp. oe) is not an o, but it actually doesn't have an English analogue. It's roughly a combination between the vowels in birch and book.

I got astounded by the colors of this moss, vibrant all the way from green to ruby. Then I found out it's actually Sphagnum moss - the kind that forms peatlands.
In my country, these mosses are rare, restricted to some high mountains only. We actually have natural reserves where they grow, in order to keep them.
But in the arctic north, they are quite abundant. And logically so - after all, the cold north is where they really come from.
