Description We travelled north until the road diverges from the coastline and dives into the valley between Rundkollen and Middagsfjellet.
Through the middle, a river cascades through two beautiful lakes and flows down into Grøtfjorden. This is the lower of the lakes.
It is a picturesque mountaineous valley I'd love to explore some day, climb either mountain and look upon it from there.

Here, we were in the shadow of Middagsfjellet, sunlight reaching over it only upon the higher parts of Rundkollen.
Those mountains in the distance are close to our destination. The misty horizon is a mere hint of what waited us that day.

View of the valley of Bårdsvikdalen, which connects Kaldfjorden with Grøtfjorden.
This is from the road, just above Litlevatnet lake and to the west, towards Grøtfjord.
The Litlevatnet lake is right in front. Further away a part of Grøtfjord is visible.
To the right, the mighty slopes of Rundkollen (557 m), called Brattfjellet.
To the left, part of the slopes of Middagsfjellet (677 m), which is the southern wall of the valley.
Behind it, the picturesque cliffy peak is Ramnberget (743 m), a mountain on the other side of Grøtfjord.
In the misty distance, are three mountains on the western end of Kvaløya, towering over the ocean beyond.
Left to right, these are: Sørtinden (724 m), Mellomtinden (634 m) and Tromtinden (636 m).
The tiny spot of land in front of them in Grøtfjorden is a mini island called Borgan.

04.10.2018, Brosmetinden (525 m).
