I think we have similar ideas about the Purple Guy. I imagine he had a daughter too, but her commiting suicide because she was left alone because he had to work caused him to kill other children, some being her friends.

I'mΒ doing a comic like that too. pretty much is that Purple found a 4 year old street girl called Clarisse getting attacked by kids for stealing their lunch. he chases them away and takes Clarisse home and adopts her. he later found the kids in the pizzeria and wanted to make them pay for what they did to her (cause they actually came to the point they broke her leg), so he lured them and beat them up, accidentally killing them by doing so (he just wanted to hurt them so they would know how Clarisse felt, not kill). Well, Clarisse however was not aware of it at the time. She did not suspect a thing until she noticed him getting depressed all of a sudden and got a phone call one night...
