I know I'm necroing this post, but I felt anyone reading this might find this interesting. The loss of fiona and mina and those characters not actually created by penders is SEGAs doing, though also a fault of penders. Penders suit against archie for his characters wasn't the only thing going on. He also sued Bioware and Sega over Sonic Chronicles because (sonic.wikia.com/wiki/Nocturnus… ) in penders head = (sonic.wikia.com/wiki/Dark_Legi… ). That said, the SGW was a convenient way to follow segas 'request' that all characters not created by active writers/copyright be removed so as to avoid any further lawsuits. Penders actually admitted when questioned that Fiona wasn't his.
Anyway, sorry about the wall of text, just thought i'd help out.

is it a different timeline or same one with different events. i'm confused about it because they wrote where it sound like the old one is gone and the characters got sent this one with new memory but they can get the old memory back. They even write it like SONIC got sent to this new timeline while he left the old one and his friends. They even write it like the old one got destroyed and this is a whole bunch of new freedom fighters were following which I don't want. and why when they touch Nicole they get their old memory back and one of the comics says that sally is no longer a robot... when was sally turn into a robot

they reboot everything in order to look like more like the videogame one(they even have places from the actually games, stories from both Sonic The Fighters and Sonic Unleashed), thanks to Ken, they can't use any of the old characters(such as Sonic's and Tails' parents and not even mention them!) so they can only use Sega's official characters, SatAm's with new desings, create new characters and even use AOSTH's characters such as Breezie

i need help to jump start my new fionaxsally story

this new one will be a redeem one for Fiona but i'm having trouble to get it started. Like it begins with the freedom fighters fighting the suppersion squad or the destrucix (I can't pick between the two.) But my issue is the motive between the two factions it. The first chapter begins with them trying to get a chaos emerald but it hits that both factions have nothing to do with the chaos emerald. (I'm actually gripping my head by just writing this to explain.)

how about this...the freedom fighters are fighting the destrucix, then, Sally kick Fiona's belly so hard that make her hit her own against a tree, breaking it. Next, the destrucix are forced to retreat leaving Fiona behind. Of course, Fiona is very upset about it. the freedom fighters take her back to Mobotropolis, first to a hospital and next, to be judged for her crimes.

sounds good. I like it. here is mine. the two either teams are fighting to get something, the fight cause said item to hanging on a cliff. Fiona gos to get it but the cliff breaks under her she hangs on the cliff for dear life. she calls for scourge but doesn't hear her. Sally go's to cliff get item but sees Fiona hanging on the cliff. Sally has to make a choice get the item or save Fiona. and we know who she saved. grabbing Fiona's hand and pulling her up. the two are breathing heavy. Fiona sees that Sally is holding her hand, new feeling start brew. she swipes her hand away and the gang leave. scourge is grilling his team for lost the item and grilling Fiona the most for not gabbing it. Fiona tells him the cliff fell apart under her. he doesn't listen and calls it accuse and it annoys her.
