Happy 4th July!I did this on a friend today, was quite pleased with how it came out - especially since it was the first time I've used this paint before.
I'd love some feedback on this! Also happy to answer any questions if you should have any

How hard was it to do the star? I really want to try and do the winter soliderΒ arm as well and I worry about shading and the starΒ Β

Not hard!
If you were worried about it I suppose you could always make/use a stencil and sponge the paint on for the general shape

What kind of paint did you use for this?
I never really thought about it, but paint is probably the best way to go for trying to replicate the Winter Soldier's arm... it's so pliable and flexible in the movie.Β Nice job!!

Thanks! Mehron silver powder, with mixing liquid for the base coat, and baby oil for the top.
I'll probably be making a tutorial for it in the next few weeks, so watch my page and keep an eye out!

From what I understand that this is body paint, how long does it take to do this?
The shine makes it looks more like just body paint,
that it actually gives that metallic look to it instead of just grey body paint~

It is a type of body paint. It comes in a powder form and is made by Mehron. You can buy a set that has powder and the mixing liquid needed to make it a liquid (water won't work). This alone makes a nice silver, however, to get this level of shine you need to use an oil (I used baby oil) in place of the mixing liquid. Using the oil is best for photoshoots only, as the oil with not dry on the skin.Β
