How strange, I think this one is summery and inviting and the Old Barn one is spooky

Thanks

I think it may be my perception of your color choices.
They seem darkish, like it might be cloudy,or maybe just beginning to get dark.

Seems the opposite to me. The Old Barn looks like it's about to thunder but Shade in the Summer looks like a beautiful sunny day just walking along a lane, in the shade but about to walk right into the sunlight

You've never been attacked,walking thru a grove of trees,then.lol
Seriously,I think it was the colors you chose. They weren't as bright
as I would expect,on a sunny day. More reminiscent of an overcast day.
Just my perception,that's all.
You did a wonderful job on it. That's for certain.
The barn might have been more creepy but,I didn't feel like
I had to walk thru it,to get where I was going. You know?

Hmmm, I've been attacked but not walking through a grove of trees, only by my first ex husband It's strange how you perceive this painting though as when I look at the people's work who have faved it their work seems quite dark, so I don't think you are on your own with that opinion. I felt that I had achieved what I set out to do but perhaps not but it's irrelevant, perhaps it was all unconscious I'm more pleased with it when you describe the barn painting as you seem compelled to enter into the shady lane painting. Wow! that's an amazing compliment

That comment was an adventure,to read.
Almost completely devoid of punctuation. You pulled it off so well, too.lol
I almost didn't notice...until I got light-headed(I read aloud).
I've been attacked too. Usually a frontal assault...with fists.
Well,it didn't seem like a "happy summer day" painting to me but,I don't know
what your summers look like, over there.
An amazing compliment, for an amazing painting.

My little emoticons are punctuation, silly! I do agree a few more full stops could have been used but I'm not a particularly pedantic person and prefer to be expressive rather than grammatically correct. I tried to make that a long sentence but just couldn't stretch it out any longer! Our summer days are beautiful, very, how could you insinuate otherwise? tut! I'm pleased you like it anyway My new summer painting has gone in the other direction I think, romantic would be an understatement, very Victorian and sunny. It was my intention though, almost surreal in a kind of flowery way

I didn't realize your emot's,were punctuation. I'm so very sorry. So unworthy am I.
Shall I retire to the corner for my daily beating, your highness?
Nice try with the long sentence. I think you do much better...if you do it in ignorance.
You can't TRY to mess up. You're much too smart.lol
I didn't insinuate your summers were less than beautiful. I did however....imply,your painting gave me the willy-nillies!
I'll have to view your new painting, once again.*sigh*

Ha! Royalty with this accent, hmmmm, I think that might amuse Darryl

It takes so much effort not to mess up, mostly with speech, I have a spoonerism habit, which thankfully doesn't translate to the witten rord

Willy-nilly paintings are famously difficult to produce

So...you speak like Barbara Walters? Hmmm

Well, you've succeded in making a very willy-nilly painting. Congratulations!

Thanks for the willy-nilly compliment

I guess you guys don't watch "60 Minutes" over there.lol
She's a famous news reporter. I thought for sure you would've heard of her.
You're very welcome for the compliment. Well deserved,I might add.

What's 60 minutes? I guess it's an American news program. She's not that famous apparently but then I'm always oblivious to fame, there are many people who I've encountered, even chatted to and not even realized who they were or what their claim to fame was. I once interviewed Peter Gabriel about his shaving habits without realizing who he was until I asked for his name and phone number to put on my form! I was doing a bit of part time research for a company to top up my student grant, just in case you was wondering how that happened He was eating a bag of chips at the time, how was I to know I have many other such stories for some reason!

Yes. 60 minutes is an American news show. Barbara Walters is world famous. How could you not know her?
I think she moved over to England,a few years ago. A place called...Dovercourt? Are you familiar?
Did Peter hit on you? Or did he just keep on eating his chips?

Larainjp In reply to Meltin [2012-04-11 06:15:14 +0000 UTC]

He kept eating his chips but did give me his phone number. I never did call him, although I don't think I was dating at the time Probably forgot Barbara Walters lives in Dovercourt? I don't watch that much TV, it's often on but even if I'm not doing something else such as painting I tend to find I'm daydreaming whilst looking at the screen and so never really know who's who or what is happening.

Meltin In reply to Larainjp [2012-04-12 00:40:20 +0000 UTC]

Ahhh,I see. Peter thought you were a hottie?

Nah,Barbara Walters doesn't live in Dovercourt. You do tho'.

I don't watch much TV either. I don't have an antenna,or cable so,all I watch are DVD's.
I'm my own program director.

Larainjp In reply to Meltin [2012-04-12 15:30:25 +0000 UTC]

I don't think so, I asked for his number to put on the form. Maybe he did though he was smiling but I think that was because he was amused by my ignorance and the bizarre questions about his shaving routine!

If you don't watch TV how do you know who Barbara Walters is I am sure you implied that Barbara lived here in Dovercourt, I am already aware that I live here I did think that would be quite a commute if she's living in America

I saw a pic of you at 26. He thought you were hot. I guarantee

Because she was around when I HAD TV. I didn't imply anything.
I flat out lied. I told you the truth,tho'. I'm an honest,liar.

Well, thank you for the compliment I don't think I thought he was hot or I might have given him a call. I don't know how he looks now or maybe I might be regretting missed opportunities
