another brand new postcard for my series.dang, I spent a lot of time on colour choices again. from red, green and even purple backgrounds back to this.
I know the soup colour looks odd. somehow green, red or orange seemed the most obvious for soup, but the hell with normal soup colours. let this be a nasty looking, but delicious one. it's safe, that I can tell you.

Could easily be oxtail or minestrone or something.
I would maybe wanna see the bowl at a slight angle so you could more easily tell that it's a bowl, though it is completely readable combined with the text.
This is turning into an awesome little series.

Minestrone is very nice, also the word on itself sounds sing-y. I had that in mind for the colours. more red with green stuff in it, but I guess it's alright. thanks for reassuring me as well
good point about the bowl. I thought about and even tested it as well, but I liked the flat perspective more, so, there ya go.
thx again Luke, I got a good feeling with this series too. Basically an exercise in style. and I have plenty more ideas.

I guess it... might be? I don't know, I'm not sure I've even had it. I just know I always see tins of it in the supermarket or on packets of cup-a-soup. I think it's kind of gravy-like.

I like it. The color agonizing was worth it. I feel your pain... I recently made a terrible color decision of orange, and now my supposedly deep painting looks Dr.Seuss inspired...

Love the clear and simple design of your postcard series, and this is one of the best yet
The soup colour doesn't really look odd to me. If you had told me: "draw a bowl of soup in colour" I probably would have chosen a very similar colour.
