So a filmmaker by the name of Chris Burton ([link] ) approached me about doing a color script for his 3D musical short film called "En Passant" (currently in production). The music in the film is by Leeran Z. Raphaely ([link] ). I've seen a rough cut of the film and it's amazing! The acting and the music are so awesome. I'm very excited to be a part of the team.

I'm going to be doing a series of paintings using light and color to represent the changes in the emotional tone of the film. This is the first one. I'll be posting more day by day.

Maybe you can help too! Chris is looking for people to help with the 3D side of things. You can read more about it here: [link] (-help-wanted!)

thanks! I realized that I don't usually do a) urban scenes b) scenes with strong blacks. It's nice to get a chance to do something different. I'm glad to hear you like it!

Ditto on the color work. I also love your light of dusk with its shadows, halos of light and indistinct buildings and landscape contrasted and back-lit by the western light. The windows and doors seem bolted against the on-coming night and silence is everywhere; the village would offer little comfort to someone unfortunate enough to be still journeying.

The light is fading and dark things are going to happen here...

Thanks! It's supposed to be a south american city, so I went with bright colors. The film has dark elements, so it has strong blacks as well, which is new for me.
