Do you remember the episode of the Simpsons where Marge is hanging out with that dude who makes art in Prison? Well, she gets him out of prison and then they all accuse him of torching a school building. He says he didn't do it, and she believes him... Later, they catch him, red handed, torching Principal Skinner's car... He tells her something like Marge, you gotta believe me... I torched that wall, but I did NOT torch Skinner's car! ... This reminds me of that.

Because they, the media, admit to something abstract and subjective, but not to the thing they were caught red handed doing.

I've never seen this kind of visual poetry before and yours is fantastic... Where did you first conceive of the notion to do this? I love it.

Thank you dearly. It's got a long history, poets have always done it. I just sat down with a pen and started blocking out words in an article one day. I found it exciting (and funny) that by doing so you could either: draw out a personal meaning from something ultimately unrelated to you, summarise the point of the article in a few words, removing the fluff, and - best of all - give completely the opposite effect that the original article (or whatever it is) is trying to have. I've got a group on here for found poetry, there's a blog about its history if you want to take a look: [link]

Thanks again for the kind words.

Well, honestly, I am exhilarated by the idea of doing this myself and I cant wait to give it a try. If I come up with something good, I would love to submit it to your group. I love the potential for the subtle balance between art and poetry... You really have given me something lovely and intimately creative to flow thru, and as you know, its all about the flow.
