Description As I was leaving work today I saw this baby raccoon walking around near our backdoor. It appeard a little scared as it was calling for its mother. It also seemed a bit cold as it curled up against the wall in the sun to try and nap. I went into the vending machine and got 2 soft cookies out and place them near it. Poor thing must have been really hungry dove right into those cookies getting crumbs all over it.

May I borrow this for a conceptual design for a greenworks Ad for school?

Sorry I'm not aware of your stock policies.

Sorry for the late reply. If you still need this for your purpose that is fine. I would like to see your final results and obviously apply any credit reference to me for the photo. Goodluck!

How cute, I miss them . When we lived at our old house I had so many raccoons and they were so much fun. The babies got so used to me I could hand feed them ( but mama was watching lol) I love raccoons they look so fancy with their mask Great pictures Larry !

Did you see the mother around or his sibblings ? I hope we wasn't lost. I had a raccoon once for a few months because he got lost or abandoned. Around here so many mother raccoons get killed on the road so I always have my eyes open when I see a dead one esp. now when they have the babies. I hate to see them dying because they are without the mother I hope the little buddy is doing good

Unfortunately I didn't see any other babies or the mother. It was calling out for her though. Kind of made me sad, why I felt compelled to at least feed it some cookies. I'm tempted to call Animal Control or some nearby Park Rangers maybe so they can get it out toward some woods after it grows some. I do hope everything works out ok with it.

DON'T call Animal control please !!!! They do have to kill him, because of rabies. Don't do that . I hope he will be fine and finds his family but don't call either a Ranger or Animal Control, they will shoot him, sad but true. That is the reason I bailed out working for them. They do have to kill certain animals no matter what .

That was my concern why I was reluctant to call anyone yet. Hopefully it's not stranded and was just wondering around on its own.

In case he was lost and you were the only one feeding him at that spot , you will see him there again tomorrow almost at the same time. Raccoons are very smart animals and that is no joke ( show me another animal that can open a garbage can that is ductaped ?!)
If you see him again and he is still alone maybe look in the phone book and see if there is a rehabber around in Columbus . They will go get him and take care of him. Argh I am bad am I , I just love those little coonies too much I hate to see them die

I'll see what I can do. My other concern is what the people around my office will do. I work at a horse track, so big horses around, people, and also outside cats that might put some hurts to the little baby.

A horse can hurt him that is true, cats stay away from raccoons ususally because racoons can do more harm to a cat then a cat can do to a raccoon, Raccoons have raiser sharp teeth.... so in case you want to pick him up protect your hands ( baby raccoons don't bite hard , they play but the teeth are damn pointy..and also who knows if he is infected )
Wow you work on a horse track, now you got me hooked .... I used to have horses when I lived in Germany
