12”x12” mixed media on canvas, shipping price included. I wanted to do something a little different, you might not be able to tell so great from the photo but I painted the eyes (not the one in the hand) on cardboard and pasted them. Some of them are raised, adding more of a cool depth effect. I also had paint markers I never really got to play with. This was a lot of fun. Most importantly though: I’ve said my whole life I hate hands. I hate drawing them. I hate painting them. They’re a pain in the ass for me. This one however happened to work out. I was thinking about trashing the idea or doing something else but I continued to say to myself to trust the process. The first thing I did was the drips, I wasn’t entirely sure where this was going. I had the hand/eyeball idea in my head for a while, and the swirls just happened. This made naming the piece come naturally. Moral of this is to think for yourself, question everything. Don’t allow yourself to become brainwashed - it’s easy to subconsciously allow that especially with media accessibly nowadays my friends.
