I was kinda wondering why you were trying to cover that up. I know you said you were a little embarassed by your previous works, but it's pretty easy to tell by your art that it was you the whole time. I think it's great that your embracing your art instead of trying to hide it, but after our last conversation, I think the only thing you really need to improve may be to just upgrade to a different program.
Like, I said before, Gimp is not really all that great as a drawing tool so unless you want to go for pixel art, you have to fight with the program more so than with many others. Then again, if you did that, your art likely wouldn't look the same and it's ultimately up to you how you want to evolve your style.
