I didn't kneel, he hit me with his elbow and pointed to the kneeling cushion. So, to keep from looking stupid and confusing a 5 year old at his Catholic stuff, I did it. Honestly, I didn't know what was going on, I'd never been to mass, but I felt pretty good about it, I'm a good cousin!
