This is the back of a wakaren, one of the men who tend to the floats during the okunchi festival in Nagasaki. Their "uniforms" change every few years, but I always love looking at their back as they're so detailed.Related content

I can't tell if it's a dragon, or a pheonix, or both that's on his back - but this is a gorgeous shot! : )
