Just a quick zootopia sketch, love the movie and thought it was super sweet, looking around in DA I was surprised to see that all of Nick´s human version were white so I made a super quick sketch of how I pictured him if he was human, See you soon! *goes back to work on commissions*Related content

Wow, you had a great idea! It's hard for me to imagine Nick as anything else but a white red-head but this is so accurate! I love his little smirk and don't understand people who put those hate comments to this picture.

Nobody's gonna like Nick's human form if it looked like this. It's pretty fucking obvious they had a white guy in mind when designing his character. He's a green-eyed redhead, and is voiced by a white guy, so there you have it.

Yes, dumbass, I've seen the movie. And there's a reason why it was an animals movie, not a humans movie. BTW, Nick's human "minority" status in this picture is hideous. And what about Judy, stupid, she's not a minority in the ZPD, going by the Pred vs Prey method. It's not a Pred vs Prey issues, it's a species issue.

The fact that he was voiced by a white actor does´t mean he was supposed to be a white guy, Disney has a history of hiring white actors to voice characters that would be of color otherwise. The vast majority of the Lion King´s voice cast was white when the whole story is based in the African savannah with animals native to the continent. We have a white-centric culture and I understand why a lot of people would assume the vast majority of the non-human characters would be that way in another universe.
The thing with Zootopia is that it had a very strong and clear message, carnivores are a minority in a country inhabited mostly by non-carnivores which they lived in a seemingly peaceful community until a single event triggered all the prejudice and paranoia against them and started being alienated until some people (Judy and Gazelle mostly) raised their voices and helped people realize said minority was not a threat and most of what they believed were hate and ignorant speeches pushed by the mainstream media and some politicians. A very relevant message if you ask me seeing the current events in Europe and the United States

I fail to see how anyone non-white would see themselves in Nick and Judy's characters. The shape of their eyes, the shape of their faces, they freaken voices. Would you even draw them as Asians, cuz their looks are as far from Asian as they come. Even in Lion King the characters look like animal version of white people. It's redheaded lions with no African accents nor voices that sound like anyone even remotely native to Africa.
As for the message is Zootopia, it's pretty clear that in the real world some people follow FUCKED UP RELIGIONS. Religions I'm sure you're all so proud to not be following nor are forced to follow. If my religion told me to cut off the head of toddler and parade around holding it in some foreign city shouting "I'M YOUR TERRORIST, I'M YOUR DEATH.", I believe I would be following the WRONG religion. It's pretty fucking clear that only people who don't have fucking conflicts of interest regardless their believes can get along. The animals in Zootopia don't have such conflicts, but out world is too far from such Utopia. I've heard of Islamophobia, and nobody's doing jackshit about that shit called Islam. In fact they're magnifying that shit to a whole new levels of negativity.
