Awesome picture!
A lot of people don't seem to remember the second part of Perrault's Sleeping Beauty. I read it and it was amazing that the story continues after the marriage of Sleeping Beauty and her prince.

Thanks !
I love Perrault's version ! Did you read the first version of this tale ? It's awful ! The Sleeping Beauty is raped during her sleep by a king. The birth of her child awake her and when see found the King, he kills his wife to marry her... Not the Disney version !

I think you're referring to Giambattista Basile's Sun, Moon, and Talia. I read it - that story is NASTY. (One could see Perrault's story as a heavily Disneyfied version of Basile's story. I think everyone would agree that it was for the better.) Then again, most of Basile's stories are not suitable for children.
I actually found a Sleeping Beauty picture book on SurLaLune Fairy Tales that includes the second part of the story. The book is in French - if you live in France, buying one shouldn't be too hard (the book seems to be relatively new). I've found a few other Sleeping Beauty books based on Perrault's version, but most of those only have the first part of the story (i.e. they stop at the wedding). Since I want to be an author one day, I was thinking of maybe writing a picture book retelling of Perrault's version that includes the second part of the story.
