You've never heard of Imperial Purple then [link] ?
While there is certainly nothing wrong with the colour she is wearing changing it to the shade described as "Dark Tyrian Purple" would IMO look rather yummy, and no one could say it isn't a suitably imperial colour.

Actually... no. Though I do know purple was worn by royalty and rulers because the price for the dye was so incredibly high. However, being native German English is only my second language and I have not come accross the term "imperial purple"
But with the new knowledge and the link you provided I will probably take a new approach
