Fritz might not be a certified mechanic. but the fact that he barely even charges for working and was capable of throwing himself to the animatronics without much issue, was enough to convince his two higher ups to keep him. Seeing that they could take advantage of the hostility of the robots when they were at a higher level, Dave and Cristopher agreed for him to stay. This would become the main method they would use to get rid of who they wanted and not get directly involved. In exchange for letting him mess with the robots, Fritz had complete loyalty to Phone Guy, for fear of being stripped of that privilege, his starvation for emotional approval and validation making him completely invested and obsessed with his position. Fritz was the security guard who replaced Jeremy after his 5th night after he was forced to move to the dayshift because Michael was under probation and had threatened to resign. In response to this, Dave indicated that they had to get rid of him since they ran the risk of Jeremy giving away what they did if he quit. He planned to raise them to 20 at night 7 in order to get rid of him. Suspecting Fritz's position, Jeremy arrived even earlier in his shift to try to intervene. Before he left the restaurant, Fritz clarified to Jeremy that he had already received orders and that "there was nothing Jeremy could do to change his mind." However ... apparently Jeremy did it. And to this day, he wish he didn’t.
