The most important thing in photography is light?
My dad would always tell me the most important thing in photography is six inches behind the viwer lens

well there are many parts to photography and you have to have all of them to make a photograph but with out light none of them matter at all. I have a Nikon D70s now this camera is obsolete by any ones standers but in the right light my photos can look just as good as you can get from a Nikon d700 it is just easier to get better photos from a d700 than a d70 and that has to do with the cameras ability to capture light

How can u tell if ur camera captures good light for a photo?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

yamiyalo In reply to Latifa700 [2009-02-03 12:35:05 +0000 UTC]

if your picture turns out you have captured light but when you learn about light and what it can do for your photos it makes a difference what color light it is the source and the direction it is coming from Light can make a picture flat or it can make it pop and look almost 3d

yamiyalo In reply to Latifa700 [2009-02-05 02:48:45 +0000 UTC]

Nikon Canon just about any dslr will work great however when it comes to point in shoots do your research see what people are saying about them before you buy. There are many out there that are bad bt they are Canons and Nikons and so on but they all have some good ones. key features are optical zoom and optical stabilization. Rather than digital zoom and electronic image stabilization are both crap

Do u have any more tips on lighting?
Like mabey something for a rose or flower cause it can be hard 2 get good lighting on them sometimes.

off camera flash is good. but you can play with the white balance and then use a $10 work lamp like you would get at a automotive place. This will add a great deal of light for you
