Description Another shot of this beautiful trek. The perimeters of the Cascade mountain range. You may or may not be able to tell but it was both sunny and raining (typical bizarre behavior of a rain forest).

Hey, thank you very much! The day I took that was gorgeous. You can't tell from the picture but there was ice hanging off the trees, I was stepping in half rain, half slush / frozen puddles and yet the sun shone warm on my face in places where it pieced through the trees, and the there was rain beating down, icicles melting on me from above...it was quite the mixed bag...a completely refreshing day and I wanted to capture as much of that beauty as I could.

Are you sure you weren't in one of those elfic forests that tolkien created?? Sounded pretty perfect to me! what an amazing place it must be

It's "Elven Forest" LoL Only Tolkein created what so many disagreed with, which was the plural word for Elfs (Elves) lol There, take that for ultimate nerdiness, nobody tops me there :joy:

Definitely, it sure felt like the ultimate Tolkein setting, that is for sure. The air was brisk, you can hear heavy precipitation falling through the tree branches, mostly, because there was also some small, light falling amounts of ice from off the trees, yet the sun pierced through and warmed your skin, it was a very weird Northwest mixture. The spring is very confusing this way in the Northwest. It's the only place where I can know warm sun, rain, fog and ice all in one given day...maybe even snow

Those are good cameras, my wife uses the Powershot S5, heck, even compacts are absolutely great as a means of capturing what you like

Thank you very much!
