well... just the brush tool. And drop- and inner-shadows for the battle damage look.

cool. To be honest the question I asked was for the line art. I just wanted to know how you made that perfect spheric head on the top. In photoshop I've been having a hard time with the brush but I guess the pen tool will aid me.
